Sovanpol IN, Mr.
Mr. IN Sovanpol currently serves as Assistant to Dean of the Techo Sen School of Government and International Relations, The University of Cambodia. He has obtained Master Degree of Public Policy at Institute of Policy Studies, University of Brunei Darussalam, in conjunction with School of Public Policy, University of Maryland at College Park, USA. In addition, Sovanpol has obtained Master of Economics at University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thailand, majoring in International Business Economics, Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Studies at RUPP, B.A (Hons) in History at University of Delhi, India, and B.A. in Tourism Management at UP, Cambodia.
Prior to working at TSS, Sovanpol used to work with both public and private organizations such as Assistant to Ambassador at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Washington D.C., USA, Consultant for World Bank project as the Community Development Supervisor, Korean project as Community Development Specialist, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) as Program Coordinator, and the government institution at the Ministry of Tourism. Moreover, he used to work as Research Assistant for AEC Strategic Center, UTCC for the ASIA Foundation project, the Secretary General of Cambodia-India Alumni Association, and the part-time lecturer of economics at RUPP.
He has also attended many short courses and training programs abroad such as Executive Program on Public Management in Washington D.C. (USA), Executive Program on Basic Strategic Negotiation (Brunei), Trade Facilitation and the Cost of Non-Cooperation to Consumers in AEC (Thailand), Dispute Mechanism in WTO (Thailand), Tourism Management and Destination Marketing (Singapore), Service Quality Management in Hospitality and Tourism (Singapore), Developing Business Skills in Market Economy (Cambodia), and so on.
